Where do you buy boys’ clothes without superheroes, dinos or cars?

Where do mums of little boys buy their clothes? Fed up with everything having Spider-Man, dinosaurs, cars, etc. There seems so little choice. Any suggestions?

Affordable clothing wise - I find Next and H&M have such a huge selection you can always find something.

Tu at Sainsbury’s and currently M&S have some good fun options too.

Mini rodini is cool but expensive.

Agree with Next - as PP says they offer so much variety.

Vinted is your friend so many bundles. And not adding to landfill.

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 18/03/2026 16:32

Zara was always a good choice for mine.

Frugi and Kite do beautiful colourful clothes for boys and for second hand stuff, the little loop is very good.

Mama1028 · 18/03/2026 18:03

Thanks. Some names I haven’t heard of but will definitely look in to.

By little boy, do you mean still in the baby/young boy section. If so I find it very easy to buy non character, and car and dino free clothes. His 12-18 month wardrobe is a mix of Next, Zara, M&S, Bobo Choses, Organic Zoo, Claude and Co, Mini Rodini, Little Green Radicals, and Asda Little Angels range. We loan t both the boys and girls sections because there’s unisex clothes in both.

POP (Polarn o Pyret) is good and often has 20% off. Arket is lovely. I really like their basics. Can be pricey but last a long time. H&M Adorables range is good quality too, and M&S. I second Vinted - just bought my six year old some Levi’s shorts for £5! Fred and Flo at Tesco have some nice bits.

Someone on a similar thread recommended Vertbaudet, and I've just got some lovely things.

We like Mango kids for boys but I think you can on my shop online in the UK.

Following for ideas. DS is about to turn 2 and it seems like 2-3 is the last age of ‘cute’ before we hit the Minecraft / Neon graffiti / superhero era Sad

Agree with Next and H&M, but vinted is also great. If your child likes something in particular (e.g. my yougest loves frogs and puffins) you can put that word in the search and filter by category and clothing size and all sorts of things come up, and you get a sense of what brands appeal to you too.

Polarn O Pyret

Zara was usually good with more plain/neutral things.

Yeah it’s so hard isn’t it? My son likes pink and rainbows for his clothes and there’s so little of it about. We really rely on Vinted.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 10/04/2026 00:55

Next, marks, H&M. the supermarkets

RSPB and the Wildlife Trust both have a lovely range of t-shirts and sweatshirts, including with frogs and puffins!
