We have one.
Wasn't our first choice fridge freezer but was the only one in stock at time.
Works fine except sometimes when it makes a whirring noise very occasionally - think this is normal as it;s recalibrating itself.

oh, and it's never broken down in the 3 years we've had it

I've got one - it's been fine. 5 years old now.

claricebeansmum · 16/06/2008 13:19

Had our built in fridge freezer for two years and it has been fine.

Had ours about 9 years now and it's great. Loads of space inside, well designed and never broken down.

Actually, I'm wishing I hadn't said that as I'm incredibly unlucky with appliances and have probably jinxed it. I dropped my 3 day old iron today and smashed it!

Great everyone thanks!..the one we wanted is now online and still has a bit of discount so wont be much more than the fab deal we would have got yesterday (apparently the instore price miraculously went back up today...anyway, had to be sure as its a BIG extravagence for me considering we could pay half and get something that does the same job, but it is sooooo gorgeous and smooth and shiny and swish..think im getting overly excited dont you...also while im here...Sme double electric ovens and hobs?? anyone got them, saw one on really good deal and wondering about that too???

thanks everyone

sorry that was meant to say SMEG

PinkChick - we have a SMEG oven as well! (At this rate, you and I will have identical kitchens.)

Anyway, SMEG cooker is brilliant. We don't have the double oven, just single. It's pyroletic so cleaning is as easy a flicking a couple of switches and wiping off the dust in a couple of hours. Oven door has about 4 layers of glass so no chance of little ones getting burnt or even feel the heat.
Ours is freestanding and comes on wheels which is useful for pulling away from worktop for a good clean on sides.

We've only had it since December, but no problems so far.

LOL FE..we cant up to the self cleaning one(double and then some!) but this on is the model before it and 'looks' exactly the same..i cant believe how much these things cost!!..the one we have now is slot in and cost about £400...these are more than that each (hob and oven) cos theyre built under!
