'Gorgeous' Bras

If you are sitting comfortably then I'll begin
Once upon a time when Debenhams was a high street shop they sold amazing Bras for larger cup sized boobs under the brand name Gorgeous.
They were the only bras I would buy. The material, whether for summer or Winter, cut and designs were suitable for large breasts and gave brilliant support and they came in huge array of colours and styles.
They were also the most comfortable bras I've ever worn and, most importantly, reasonably priced.

All much better bras than M&S, Triumph or the hundreds of bras I have tried on in Bravissimo.

So where has 'Gorgeous' gone?
They must have had great designers, manufacturing contacts etc.
Did the company go bust? 🙄
Are they operating under another name? Are they supplying bras for another brand

Does anyone know?

I wish I knew. They also did bra sized swimwear separates (I can't believe shops are still selling sets as if all women are the same size too and bottom). It's a bloody nightmare trying to google it too.

They did small back/large cups and understood that if you were a 30 you could wear more than a B cup <side eyes M&S and all supermarkets>.

And they were SO reasonably priced.

I'm so pleased I'm not the only one who thought they forfilled a market ignored by every other big bra seller. And yes the price point was amazing, about £15-20 for a well made comfortable bra.
I had so many they're only just wearing out now and trying to buy replacement bras under £70 is proofing v difficult.

I tried on a couple of bras in M&S last week. The fabric in the cup was not supportive enough and the cut seemed to want to push my boobs to the side and flatten rather than round them. Half the boob was under my armpit. This wasn't a minimizer bra either. And I tried loads of sizes.
Left very deflated!

Debenhams online still appear to sell ‘Gorgeous’ swimwear, but no sign of bras on their website.

The website was first place I tried. They had odd sizes for a while but stopped selling completely now 😔

God I miss Gorgeous bras - they were the absolute best for every type of bra you could ever want if you have bigger than average boobs. And they gave such a lovely shape rather than trying to flatten and minimise.

I'd love to know who else the manufacturer supplies now. A friend recommended Asda, but neither the quality nor the comfort was the same.

They were a Debenhams own brand, weren't they? I liked them a lot.

If you're looking for an alternative, Brastop (online only, I think but could be wrong) have a brand called Flirtelle which are reasonably priced, come in lots of colours and fit very well. Some of their styles remind me of the Gorgeous brand.

They also have a good size calculator which I found very accurate.

I find Fantasie bras very nice, always get the ones with side support. M&S do at a pinch, their Rosie ones are better than any of the others. But I tend to feel the wires are flimsier and the shape doesn’t work as well for me (32GG)

CocoPlum · 12/02/2026 20:02

I've tried other shops but as a small back/big cup girl, it's not easy to find them cheaper. M&S go down to a 30 but not above around a D cup (if that). Supermarkets are getting better but still rarely go below a 32 back.

Brastop was my go to but I'm finding they aren't the bargains they used to be.

Recently I've been on Vinted, searched my size with the filter set to BNWT, and had some bargains!

Debenhams website did have Gorgeous swimsuits but they stopped the 30 back 😔

That's a great shout Drama Alpaca. I'm going to place an order this weekend!

No advice but I'm still wearing my "gorgeous" sports bras (though not especially gorgeous they are fab) and I don't know what I'll do when they wear out!
