Pill organiser that doesn't look like a pill organiser

Not sure whether this should be under shopping or health?
Anyway, I'm currently having to take tablets am and pm. Have been looking for an organiser that doesn't look like a pill organiser. There's plastic ones with the days written all over it in bright colours but I'd like something more discreet.
I've seen some on etsy but most don't appear to have the space for the number I have to take. I don't want to order one only to find I can't use it.
SO if you've found one that good please could you let me know where you bought it from please? Thanx

I've found this - not cheap like amazon / shein etc but she says she makes them all herself. Love that its not plastic

My DB has one very similar to this , he was fed up of the bulky but flimsy plastic ones.
He has had it a couple of years now and it still looks good.

The picture is lying tho , you can only get about four / five capsules in it.

I have one of the dosey ones.
Very chic indeed! Looks like a case for sunglasses.
Annoying to open, but very pretty

MyNavyPeer · 10/02/2026 22:29

I know you already have lots of great responses, I want to mention the one I use in case it helps anyone. It's called Pillar.

I have arthritis so I find normal pill boxes really hard to open, I can manage this no bother though. I take 12 pills a day of various sizes, I can fit them all in the large Pilllar.

I was on this quest a few years ago and ended up with a Pilbox Mini.

I love it. It's discreet and fits in the palm of my hand. Each individual box has three adjustable/removable dividers. I just use two - morning and evening. Be warned though, the days of the week are in French - or sometimes in Portuguese and Italian - as they are generally only available from European pharmacies but easy to purchase online. Would absolutely recommend.

Noshadelamp · 10/02/2026 23:56

I have this one, it's slim and fits in my bag really well.
It does have writing but tbh I bet you could use nail polish remover or something and it would come off.

I use diamond art storage trays like these. I have to take some meds four times a day, I try and keep the tray of four on me at all times, sometimes shoved down my cleavage if I don’t have pockets. I am extremely forgetful and found that if I don’t have them somewhere on me when my alarms go off, I just forget to take them. I customise the outer parts of the box so that it looks pretty. I either use acrylic paint pens, that stick and peel wallpaper stuff, stickers etc to decorate and it just makes me feel less old lady like and also makes me feel less shit about being disabled and needing so many meds.

I love mine! I have one in each size and they’re great.

Ineffable23 · 11/02/2026 06:58

Another option is just sharpie-ing the days of the week on the pill packets, if you preferred that.

I have something similar that I didn't think to use! Thanks for that idea!

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to respond. So many choices! I'll keep checking back and then have to make a decision.

Good old mumsnet.

I have a big bright plasticky one with days on because I have ADHD and often forget if I’ve taken them. If they didn’t have ‘am/pm’ written on them I would almost certainly mix them up. That’s kind of what they’re for really - so you can tell what you’ve taken and when.

Hellinnnnn · 11/02/2026 09:25

I got the Mannox one from Amazon and really like it. Fits quite a lot, choice of colours, easy to use. A bit heavy if you’re carrying it around, but I far prefer it to my previous solution (a makeup bag full of blister packs), and I think it’s classier than the very plasticky ones.

Yes, do be aware that almost every Amazon link shared here can be found on AliExpress, Temu, or Alibaba for cheaper. I hate for people two pay 2-5x as much on Amazon. If you need something next day, Amazon is your place. But if you’re willing to wait an extra few days (some delivery is guaranteed in 3 days or 7 days), you can save a large amount of money. I’m bored in hospital so if anyone likes any of these options and wants the “cheaper” version, let me know and I’ll include a link. Like I said, almost everything on Amazon now is on Aliexpress, and what isn’t is on Temu.

Another vote for this. It has 5 compartments on each half. I got a fine permanent marker and added AM to one side and PM for the other as some of my pills I have to take twice a day. Been using it for a few months now and it’s working well. I’ve bought one for my husband too.

Those hand made wooden ones on Etsy are mostly bought in from Temu at a fraction of the price. It's an import business.
I would generally prefer not to buy Chinese tat but when you are buying stuff from Amazon or Etsy that's exactly the same as if you bought it direct it's tempting to cut out the middle man.
I quite like these for just taking out in your Purse
Or this slightly blingy one

I have this very stylish one from Alessi - it’s £35 but looks lovely on my bedside table https://uk.alessi.com/products/yoyo-pill-box

this is, as you say, very stylish! how many pills can you fit in? I need it to take at least 2 paracetamol size tablets
