Black pushchairs - don't they get hot??

I'm looking for a stroller for holidays, would you suggest avoiding a black one?

My black nylon car seat definately does, don't know about strollers tho

I'd say the child in the pushchair kind of blocks out the sun getting to the black material!

Both my pushchairs ahve been black and have had no problems, but for holiday we've always used one of these anyway and the dcs have been fine.

dd had 5 mths had one for our recent hol and i never noticed it did , think they are shaded by parasol anyway.

I don't think strollers are the same as car seats (which IMO all make little ones excessively hot and sweaty regardless of what colour the fabric is).

I have a black maclaren stroller, and a black and charcoal phil & teds; I can't say I have ever noticed them getting any hotter than any other colour of buggy that I have used.

Put a sheepskin liner in it. They are fab for helping stop lo's stop geting sticky in summer and also nice and snuggley for winter too. Cool in summer, warm in winter things

Would a fake sheepskin one have the same effect do you think? I have an old mattress cover that I am thinking about turning into a liner.

No real sheepskin will keep cool in heat and retain heat in cold weather. Fake sheepskin is synthetic and will make the baby sweat.

i think so, is why i bought a red p and t as the dark ones seemed likely to get hot

second sheepskin though, have an outlook one which is real fleece one side acrylic the other, bought it for ds wish i had had it for dd
