Problem with car seat fitting

We are currently looking for our second car saet, but finding one that fits our car seems the biggest problem. Started off by looking in Which?, then went out and tried the 2 seats recommended in their review, both had "buckle crunch" when fitted in our 306. Since then have tried about 6 or 7 various seats all of which have this problem. Has anyone managed to resolve this problem????

We managed to find a branch of Mothercare world in Kew which had great staff who knew all about alternative routings for seat belts around the seats. There often seem to be several.
I had the same problem with my Astra and ended up with a Britax club class elite.
Funnily enough my mum had the same problem with her Mazda when she also decided to buy a car seat for ferrying grandchildren around and ended up with an identical seat as it was the only one to fit her car.
Britax do have a customer care line - although I don't have the number and if you ring them they can tell you whether a particular seat will fit your car (they ask the year model etc) and in which position it will do so.
Good luck
