High back booster seats

Am looking for some advice re dd's car seat. She'll be 3 in August and is currently in a Britax isofix stage 2(?) car seat (forward facing), suitable from approx 9 months to 4 years.

Can she go in a highback booster seat before 4? Her head is currently above the top of the seat but not by a lot, her ear level is still in the seat if that makes sense. She weighs about 36lb.

I've noticed on the Mothercare website most of their high back boosters say from 4 years but she is already within the weight range for those seats and fairly tall for her age.

I am in no hurry to get her out of her current seat, she sometimes complains of being uncomfortable in it but obviously her safety comes first.

Really I am just wondering when she can go in one and any to avoid etc?

TIA

I thought weight, not age was the determining factor about moving up - so if she's heavy enough, she can move up?

That's what I was wondering. As she is not yet 3 do you think it would be too soon to put her in one yet? I guess using an adult seat blet is not as safe as a five point harness in a seat?
