I've just got some bike chain oil on my lovely white cotton trousers - how can I get it off, or should I say, can I get it off?
TIA and desperation...

Fairy Liquid - pour it over liberally, do not rub, leave it overnight then put in washing machine. Hope for the best

I once manage to get some oil on a fawny-coloured mac, MIL gave me a product called 'Stain Slayer' and it was as good as new!

De-Solv-It is fab and has got oil out for me before.

Many previous recommendations for it on here as well.

Ironing with brown paer on top is supposed to work, or is that just cooking oil.

Managed.....tsk

I vote for washing up liquid too! It worked for me - grease on silk. I left it overnight, then washed as usual and just like magic it was gone! Good luck
