Anyone know of a climbing frame thing for outside, preferably with a slide but NO swings??

I want something for the DSs to play with outside but without swings as i find myself being constantly asked to push them when they are at my mums who has a swing set.

So something big fun, adventourous but no swing attached!

TIA xx

TP Challengeris fab. No swings but plenty of climbing and all sorts of bits you can add to it.

tortoiseSHELL · 10/06/2008 21:16

We have THE best climbing frame! It's this one and is fantastic. The kids always play on it, it becomes a social centre in the garden, and because of the design there are lots of ways up it without it taking a huge amount of space! Yesterday we put the end of the slide in the paddling pool which they had GREAT fun with!

we just bought this one for dc

its fab but we got it cheap from tesco.com

find one you like then do a search to find it cheaper

they are both great!

i like the little wendy house in yours lapin,

and the 2nd one looks like it would wear them out!

We will have some money from DS2s birthday so can add some onto it ourselves.

will show DH

we inherited a tp challenger...it is superb!

We have this one, but without the swings which you buy separately anyway I didn't get them for exactly the same reason as you.

It's expensive, but you can buy just the bottom half first, if your DC's are small and add to it as they get older. I hope that it will last them better than some of the 3+ ones. We shopped around - the prices varied a lot.

tortoiseSHELL · 10/06/2008 22:56

The price varies - what you do is to buy the fittings from a supplier, and then you can choose where to get the wood from - we got decking wood from the local garden centre. I think it worked out about 2-300 pounds.

i love lapins one.

I think the Lodge is really nice but we bought the TP Pirate Ship www.tptoys.com/outdoortoys/wooden_climbing_frames/products/forest-galleon-outdoor-playhouse-tp-toys/ and I can't get the kids out of it.

ChippyMinton · 13/06/2008 14:38

we have the tp sherwood, which is bigger than some of the links here, but I wanted something they wouldn't grow out of, and that I could get onto as well . Got it when the youngest was 2.5 yrs and she has used it happily. I know you don't want swings, but tp do a couple of good double ones - the skyrider (which we have) and the swing boat - that the DC can get moving by themselves. Also do baby seats etc, which you can change as they get older.

we have the tp challenger, my dc 2&3 love it
