Do I need to be talked out of buying a fancy schmancy mobile for ds?

Am generally pretty anti baby gadgets and equipment for the sake of it, but am quite taken with the idea of one of those all singing, all dancing mobiles that play Beethoven and move about and have pretty lights and stuff. Ds would love it. Are they any good or do I need a clout to return me to my senses?

I had this for ds, and while it was fab and he loved it, I don't know that I would again. I used it for dd1, although she rarely watched it, but it is still in the attic for dd2, as she is either asleep or downstairs.

Would recommend these though, all 3 of mine love/d snuggling up to it.

so useful for when you want to have a shower or something and they normally waah every time you put them down

DS ignored his lovely mobile completely and utterly. But thats just him !

I avoided the need to entertain him whilst I was in the shower by taking him in the bath with me.

you can make your own with a grid that you dangle things off including sparkly things etc and then you can keep changing the dangling bits for extra interest. Open the window to get it to move!
