Is there a good one that vacuums stairs easily and under beds?

Any recommendations?

I do have a cylinder dyson without parts. For the price of hte parts I might as well buy a new hoover!

I knew I should have sauced the title up a bit.

Cylinder = no bag does it? Trying to return the favour lazarou but rather vainly ... I have a Miele which is fab but uses bags I'm afraid

lazarou · 26/06/2008 16:37

no, they can be bagged and bagless. Which one is it you have? I would love one, but they are so expensive? Is it good on the staitrs and laminate flooring?

Oh - I've no idea what cylinder means then

We've had ours 9 years and it's been a brilliant investment. Fab on stairs, laminate and real wood as well as carpets. It's a pull-along type with the long bendy hose bit (note the technical terms). No idea what model but they prob don't make it any more it's so old - but still going strong. We got the lowdown from a john lewis expert and took them at their word - v good decision

A guy gave us a miele demonstratrion by jumping up and down on it! I really want one.

I also bought a Miele (Pet) after hearing recommendations on here. It's fab Make sure you get one of the ones with the turbo brush, though. Makes all the difference!
