Vinted and Scabies

Wanted to ask I use Vinted a lot, I had a skin allergy rash and went down the rabbit hole iof scabies while trying to resolve rash. Luckily it was an allergy no scabies but it’s really put me off Vinted thinking about potential infection please could you put my mind at ease with some positive stories so I can get back on Vinted !!

Most items would have definitely been sealed in plastic for over 72 hours before they get to you. So that would work by killing the mites cycle.

And also you wash everything you get. Don’t you?

I freeze anything second hand for 72 hours before washing to hopefully rule out bed bugs, moths or scabies.

Hi yes I do wash everything before I wear it but I used to try items on to see if they are worth washing or putting in charity pile, now everything will get washed to try on, thanks for the freezer method I will definitely look at doing that as well!!!
