Skechers Slip Ins

Looking for advice about these trainers. Are they as comfortable as everyone says?
I tried some in the Skecher shop, but was very aware of the hard heel, so wasn't sure if I would find them comfortable.
I need a wide fit, so no real bargains around. I can order online and get a 20% discount, but not sure if that applies if I go back to the shop?
I'm going away soon, and if I ordered online they wouldn't arrive in time, so a RL shop is probably best for me. £100 instore, so an expensive mistake if they aren't comfortable.
Any advice please?

They were my dog walking shoes and got a lot of use, but after 5-6 months the padded heel part had worn all of the way through and I had to bin them.

Im an NHS podiatrist and all of my colleagues hate them. They give no support at all. I wear them though because I have arthritis in my feet and they don't make them hurt.

I can walk for hours and hours in mine, they’re so comfy.

I see a 5.5 size is available in the mens. The extra room might help, and a cushioned insole or heel grips if not. I'm between sizes myself so often have to resort to heel pads, but the toe box is the bit I need!

It's just a suggestion, maybe worth a try if you can return them?

Just a quick update. Went to a RL shop and found very few in wide fit, but ended up with these. Not sure what the style is called but they are comfortable. I had them waterproofed and stainproofed in the shop. So fingers crossed they are comfortable.
