Amazon logistics conflicting tracking.

I usually love Amazon logistics for deliveries online.
But recently they have been a bit hit and miss with deliveries outside of Amazon.
And Amazon customer service don't seem able to help with third party queries if the order is from a company that chooses Amazon delivery, rather than their own site.
Today a parcel was out for delivery at 11.50am, for between 2 - 4pm.
At 2.53pm I got an amazon text to say delivery was delayed until tomorrow.
Then an email, same message.
Yet the tracking is still showing as out for delivery today, no matter how many times I refresh it.
4pm has come and gone.
Amazon customer service said they have no access to live tracking for companies that just choose Amazon for delivery, but he's 'passed a message on to deliver asap''
I'm wondering if the delay till tomorrow messages were sent in error instead of a revised delivery time for today?
Do you think it could still arrive today?

Usually when that happens to me it means the driver won’t deliver until tomorrow.

CatsorDogsrule · 01/11/2025 16:13

I agree with PP; I would expect it tomorrow. The tracking probably won't update until tonight or tomorrow.

@StuffingMyNuts has it happened often?
You would have thought, in 2025, if an automated message is sent out announcing a delay that tracking would also update automatically!

I just take it to mean that it’s in the van and the driver is going around with it but he won’t make it to you until tomorrow. Do you need to track?! I never track anything, they don’t need you to be home any more.

I have an awful lot of deliveries but this probably only happens a couple of times a year.

@ResusciAnnie re tracking - no, not normally, but this is a £100 item so I definitely want to track it.
