I am going to sound like an idiot but need help with my AEG washer-drier

OK, I bought my first ever washing machine last year (and yes, it changed my life). It has suddenly started stopping mid-cycle, making an alarm sound and flashing up E20 on the display screen.

Stupidly, I have lost the instructions/troubleshooting guide. Does this sound like something I need to call out the engineer for? Or is this washing machine code for something fairly straightforward that clever Mumsnetters will know?

Check that your drain hose has not been kinked/bent if you have pushed it under a unit

most machines have the guide book online, have a look at their website and have the model no handy!

this might help

Thanks so much, Ecmo and nancy. Brilliant link, Ecmo - I wouldn't have the first idea where a pump filter is or how to clean it, so I guess it's engineer time. But will check the website first.

Thanks again!
