Christmas shopping.

My town is dreadful for shops. Only one toy shop, a very small primark that hardly ever have the sizes I need. Im thinking further a field for Christmas shopping. Want somewhere where the shops are within walking distance of each other. Has a decent primark and toy shops. Will be catching the train so dont want to walk miles to the shops. Been looking at bristol, exeter or bath. Anyone able to recommend which one would be better for Christmas shopping out of the 3. Thank you.

Is there any reason why you have to shop in person? Sounds like it might be a bit of a faff

Its something me and my mum do every year because we hardly get to see each other with work etc & this year my oldest niece is joining us so making it a girlie day out

DC is at uni in Bath, I am told Bristol is better than Bath for a decent shopping trip.

That sounds really nice but why not do your shopping online and just have a nice festive day with your mum and niece?

Bath is very good shopping wise ( I live there) but sadly I would avoid late November to dec 15th because of Xmas market ( it is horrifically packed) I do all my Xmas shopping from 15th onwards with some online too . I personally think Bristol is shit for shopping, the centre isn’t that nice either and it’s a very spread out city . I liked Exeter when we went , not sure if it has Xmas market but might have same issues - I like Salisbury too - that is flat and quite compact and has all the big names quite close together and quite a lot of independents too

how about Cardiff? The city centre is very compact and close to the train station.

Everyone has mentioned Cardiff but after looking at the train prices I think its a no. £60 return from where i live. None of us drive so we are catching the train to wherever we go.
