Wide fitting bridesmaid shoes for a 1 year old - size 3G????

My 14 month old DD2 is being a bridesmaid in 3 weeks. I am desperately trying to find suitable shoes, ideally ivory satin. Trouble is she is in 3G Clarks shoes and all the 'high street' bridesmaids shoes either don't start at a 3 or are just too narrow. I've tried Debenhams, BHS, M&S, Next & Adams. I also need to get matching shoes for DD1 who is 4 and an easier size 7 and can fit most high street brands.

I am at my wits end and probably going to fall out with my friend who is the bride as she is insisting on matching shoes and wont hear of trying sandals instead. Any ideas???

I got dd2 a wee pair from Matalan for £6
pearly white with velcro ankle strap and a wee silver butterfly as only detail

dd2 has wide size 5 feet and a very high instep but they seemed fine

what about Brantano?

brantano

they don't seem to have size 3 online but will do in the store

woolworths too maybe?
New Look have shoes for kids too

Oh fgs I think your friend needs to grow up a bit! This is a one year old we are talking about here!

agree with emkana re that too, who the hell is going to be looking at the wee ones shoes anyway?

I did look for matching shoes for my two and got a lovely pair for dd1 from monsoon BUT for the wee one they were just too hard and not suited to a baby foot iyswim

size 3 but possibly too narrow?

could you try a pair of tiny ballet shoes?

SlightlyMadSweet · 03/06/2008 23:12

I wouldn't even put a pair of bridemaids shoes near a 14m old...irrespective of style or fit TBH.

A 14m old needs a proper shoe and I have never seen a bridesmaid shoe which would give proper support.

Furthermore the style of shoe to suit a 14m is very differnt to the style of shoe to fit a 7yo. You cannot buy them the same IMO.

Have a look at pre-walkers or first shoes on clarkes. Don't know the colour scheme but there are some really pretyy pinks and whites on there.

Spring candy, orchid bloom on the pre-walkers for example
Coral Love are beautiful & plain on the first shoes
Flitter are lovely and come in turqoise, pink and lilac

Thinking about it, I completely agree. Buy your dd some proper shoes from Clarks or Startrite in a suitable colour and be done with it, and tell your friend not to be such a bridezilla.

Thanks for the comments. DD2's clarks shoes are white and pink as they were all that fitted! Might just get her to wear them and the bride will have to lump it!
