You’d probably have to buy a special bra once you have the dress.

marriednotdead · 05/10/2025 05:06

Unless you’re very short in the body, you should be fine with a bra under that.
I’d work the other way around and get the lowest back well fitting bra first and then try the dress. I spend a lot of time trying to find solutions for this issue (I’m a bra fitter). The low back converters don’t really work for most people.

StormingAmish · 05/10/2025 09:33

You can get all kinds of bras for every sort of dress/top.

Bras without straps, bras that fasten low on the waist.
Look on the websites of Marks and S etc.

Yes.

Ohplesandbanonos · 05/10/2025 10:53

I would get a low back bra - like this amzn.eu/d/ekG4pRZ

I think you could probably get away with a normal one but I'd constantly by checking and adjusting and that would annoy me!

ChristmasFluff · 05/10/2025 11:48

I'd buy a different dress! Those special bras never work for me (huge boobs)

Sheldonsheher · 05/10/2025 12:23

That is a dress for someone with no boobs. High neckline and scoop back. Bigger chest you need the other way round.

BlueberryFlapjack · 05/10/2025 12:39

Thanks all - lots of helpful comments. I was ordering stuff for work too so I decided to go for it. I can always send it back. My boobs ARE quite small so feeling hopeful that it might be ok for me.

It is quite annoying when you find a nice dress and then for no reason they make it low back so you can't wear a normal bra.

EgregiouslyOverdressed · 05/10/2025 20:24

You’ll need something with fairly wide-set straps but a correctly fitted bra with the right band size won’t show. The scoop sits just under the model’s shoulder blades. If a bra band rides up to sit on your shoulder blades it is too big in the band.

BlueberryFlapjack · 13/10/2025 21:41

Thanks all.

Update: the dress arrived and it didn’t need a bra as it wasn’t that low BUT I learned that a scoop back really doesn’t suit me. Just very unflattering. I loved everything else about the dress, and the fit was perfect, but the back looked dreadful :(

If you have boobs big enough for bralessness not to be an option, Boden won't fit you properly nor suit you. All their models have "two peas on a ironing board" figures for a reason.
