My son is getting married in Kenya in January. The wedding is taking place on the beach. Although the hotel and area is very luxurious, I think the wedding will be relaxed….. the bride is quite hippy and will be barefoot etc.
I have no idea what to wear and don’t want to look “wrong “. A lot of the brides family live there so will know the climate etc
It will be hot and I find the heat uncomfortable!!
I am in my 50’s and a size 12 and 5 ft 7. My arms are my worst feature and need to be covered to my elbows. I’d also like it to be maxi length.
Also my hair is a problem and I’ve no idea what to do with it!! My hair is blonde and mid length. It will be very humid and unfortunately it will frizz terribly even with serums etc. how should I wear it??
Hope someone can help because I haven’t got a clue!! Thank you

There are a lot of semi formal angel wing maxi dresses at the moment which look very MOB/G for a beach wedding. If you want more casual guest there are some gorgeous maxis but many are sleeveless so you could add a shrug?

I have attended two beach weddings in Kenya, both times very breezy, I wouldn't worry about the heat but I would avoid any 'floaty' dress (small boys are often employed to hold the brides dress down for pictures, in the pictures look for little feet appearing randomly from behind the bride!) So if you wouldn't like a column dress you.might prefer some palazzo trousers and a top?

Hair wise, again, breeze. Unless you can carry off an updo with high hold hairspray i would tend towards a leave in conditioner and a hairband. I can't do neat hair and mine also frizzes so I would likely just go with 'windswept' for any beach pics and attack it with some serum before any hotel based part of yhe day.
