Shoe help

I need shoe help! I have perfectly flat feet and as a result weak ankles.

I walk alot with kids/dog and have lived in trainers since last winter. What can i get that is suitable comfortable but water proof for winter??

Walking boots are really heavy and fine for walking the dog but not doing much else. Wellies hurt as no support for ankle. I have soft leather doc martins which look nice but rub my heels if i try to walk too much/far in them.

Whst else can i try?

Waterproof trainers

Sorel are my usual-go-to for waterproof boots / trainers. Decent quality, often on sale/discounted and they are actually waterproof (I’ve waded through rivers in mine and my feet stayed bone dry).
