I really wouldnt recommended buying one to print off your own pics unless you dont print off many ( I only use mine if rellies come round and I think they would like an instant pic) . They are very very expensive compared to say, Tesco's 5p per print (but then depends how much it costs you to get to Tesco if you werent going anyway!).

For example I have a Kodak easy share printer dock. So I would probably buy a 160 sheet pack from Amazon. You get the cartridge as part of a pack. It works out at 21.25p per print. The smaller 40 sheet pack works out at nearly 25p a print.

But v. convenient ;)

oh I meant to say, what about getting them printed by an online company as an alternative. I always use photobox (although I rarely get prints) and theres truprint/snapfish and various tohers.

We've got a Canon one (Selphy?). It is rubbish, wouldn't recommend. Photo quality is rubbish, pictures always too green, and £££ to replace the cartridges.

Photobox far better.

I do like photobox although I find the quality varies considerably. I guess it depends on who processes the order but its a bit of a gamble. Mostly I've had very good prints but sometimes they come out a lot darker than the original seems to be.

The quality of the Kodak printer I think is very good, if you compare it to what you get from online companies. You get glossy prints, and I love watching it get processed. V. Clever! My printer is a bit erratic though (as in sometimes can't get it to do anything) and I'm not sure if this is the case for them all, you'll need to go check some online reviews, probably amazon is best place. I got it cheap on ebay and the warranty has run out, and I dont think I'd bother replacing it if it conked out completely.
