Can I return clothing to Tesco after 30 days?

I have the receipt and tags still on, I just forgot to return it, I bought it mid July, I would be happy to exchange for another item I just don’t know if they’d allow

Depends who you get on the till on the day , also may find that its gone down in price so you’d only get that amount , nobody can really answer this for you , all you can do is ask as politely as you can !

You could just say you don’t have the receipt or proof of purchase and ask for an exchange or a gift card. There’s a good chance the price will have dropped since you bought it, but at least you’d get something back.

From the Tesco FAQs: ‘If you've changed your mind about your product, can't find your receipt and didn't use your Clubcard with your purchase, we'll offer to exchange the product for another product of the same value, based on the current price when scanned. The product must be returned as new.’

Technically no, you have 30 days to return, forgetting to do so isn’t their problem.

However if you’re polite to the person on the till they will probably offer to exchange for an item of the current price. Don’t be rude or demanding or they will likely stick to the policy! (I’ve been a retailer a long time 😂)
