Digital camera that will take good pictures of the DCs - any suggestions?

Ours is about to pack up after much abuse use and i would like one that we can use to take photos of DS who is 2 and moves pretty quickly, and DD who is a couple of weeks and not that fast.

I can only get a blur free picture on ours by using the flash so end up not taking many close up shots of either of them.

What sort of thing should i be looking for - I would like something pretty simple and portable which takes a picture when you click the button, not a few seconds later. Oh, and not too expensive if possible!

Thanks

our sony one is good for that, its an old model we have and will need replacing soon to but I did notice a nice looking one in boots wasn't too expensive

will see if I can find a link

that's the sort of thing i'm looking for, will have a look in a few camera shops and see if i can try that one out.

It's so frustrating when it looks like the perfect shot on the little screen and then you discover it's blurry!

thanks for the recommendation.

I fully understand, it takes ages to get a decent one only to find they've moved slightly!

why not go into jessops or somewhere like that, find one you like then go on pricerunner.co.uk and see if you can get it cheaper somewhere else

I have just bought one from Argos first ever link (and it took me bloody hours) has it worked?

I haven't had a chance to have a play with it yet as far as speed is concerned but thought it was an absolute bargain and takes lovely photos.
