Muddypuddles - puddlepac or originals

Hello I want to buy an all in one waterproof for my daughter who's 16 months (and one for my niece who's 2) - but I'm not sure whether to go for the 'original' - more hardwearing, or the puddlepac which is lighter and can be packed into a small bag. I'm tempted to go with the puddlepac because it's not as though they'll be climbing trees etc as they're too young so don't need a hardwearing one?? Any thoughts?

We've gone for a Togz one that is fantastic - absolutely no complaints, hard wearing, very waterproof (ds has fallen full length in a puddle and only got slightly damp around the neck as dh didn't pick him up quick enough). Used for cycling now, so withstanding falling off on knees etc with no problems.

We do have dungarees for the summer though - on wet days in sunny breaks ds is to be seen in Tshirt and waterproof dungarees and wellies....

I bought puddlepac dungarees for ds1, and also bought pp trousers recently for ds2 (who's 17 months) and swapped them immediatly for the originals which are so much nicer for them to wear and you to put on! Really nice fabric and comfy, puddlepac are very plasticky although obviously price is a factor. I decided for trousers rather than an all in one which was a nightmare to put on ds2 (I got one on ebay when he was a year). Trousres much easier to stick in your bag for when they're at the park, want to go out in someone's wet garden etc.

My daughter had this one from age 2 to age 6!

It was age 2/3 size and the sleeves were a bit long initially but it was a very long coat at first then as she grew it was a shorter length but still looked good .

It was really good quality, soft and it still looks good enough to hand down.

Really good value.(She also had the matching bottoms but obviously grew out of these quicker)

thanks, will definitely go for originals over puddlepac then. RCAD I really like that coat too...
