I got some cheap from the market and noticed everything smells plasticy so much so will have to re-wash the kids stuff.

Do the expensive ones do this too and does it wear off eventually?

Thanks

mine were nearly £20 i think and they didnt make anything smell.

Twiglett · 29/05/2008 21:47

£8 or so .. don't smell at all .. I'd get rid of the cheapo ones .. fumes from plastic not good

RubySlippers · 29/05/2008 21:47

(cost around £8.99 from woolies)

BibiThree · 29/05/2008 21:49

I have the JML ones and haven't really seen a difference in drying times/softening effect tbh

MilaMae · 29/05/2008 21:55

My cheap market ones don't smell and are great.

horsemadgal · 29/05/2008 22:04

I got the Poundland ones and they did stink when new. I shoved a baby wipe in with some essential oils and they are fine now.

mummyofaprincess · 31/05/2008 00:02

i brought some from poundland aswell and at first they made the clothes smell a bit plasticy but after a few times they don`t smell at all

missmama · 31/05/2008 00:26

I have the poundshop ones too. Have no problem with smells here

solo · 31/05/2008 00:28

What do they do?

horsemadgal · 02/06/2008 19:30

They are supposed to make your clothes softer. They sort of fluff up the fibres by the 'beating' action!

MuffinMclay · 02/06/2008 20:35

I have the Lakeland ones and I honestly can't see any difference in drying times or fluffiness. Didn't notice a smell though.

solo · 02/06/2008 22:57

So, surely they must wear the clothes out quicker?

SecondhandRose · 07/06/2008 09:23

I have got some from Poundland but do they actually do anything? Anyone notice?
