i think the graco entertainer i have both and think it is the best al rounder and smaller

Miggsie · 29/05/2008 21:41

my Dd preferred an old saucepan, a tupperware box and a load of clothes pegs...!

I have the Rainforest Jumperoo and DS loved it. The toys were on a lot of different levels (both physically and educationally iykwim) and he used it for a good 6 months. Only thing is (as with both toys) they take up some space. It was great though for getting up to 20 minutes of peace at a time (I exclusively expressed so I would plonk him in there for my mid afternoon expressing time ).

Another vote for the entertainer here. I bought one second hand for dd on my sister's advice and it was great. Ideal for keeping little ones contained without them feeling confined iykwim

We've got the jumperoo - bought it as a pressie for DD when I went back to work. She absolutely loves it. the first time we put her in it she played for 40 minutes and then complained when we took her out of it!.

She's 9 months now and still loves it.

We had both, and whilst the Jumperoo made DS laugh, he was never in it for that long, whereas he would happily stay in the entertainer for ages. I would go for the entertainer if I had to choose.

ds2 adored the jumperoo....

PeckaRolloverAgain · 30/05/2008 11:54

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

still very split between the two!

I waste hours antagonising over these decisions!

Get both - it worked for us!

Entertainer ...and a door frame bouncer has worked brilliantly for me. I think kiddicare has entertainers for a good price at the moment too.

luvaduck · 30/05/2008 12:47

is tha the baby einstein one?
we've got leapfrog learn and groove- half price on ebay - and ds loves it - really useful instead of playpen when need to answer door, have shower etc

AlexanderPandasmum · 01/06/2008 08:40

Does anyone know at what stage you're supposed to stop using the Jumperoo? DS is 15 months now and hasn't used it for a long while. He's not walking yet and is slightly behind in physical development as he was 2 months prem'.

We've got the rainforest jumperoo (got it from ebay 2nd hand) and the learn and groove which is similar to the graco. They are both excellent but if I had to pick one it'd be the learn and groove as it is definitely her favourite and she'll happily play in that for ages.

The jumperoo although fantastic won't keep her entertained for very long but my does it make her giddy She'll jump up and down i it like crazy and play with all of the toys but gets bored much, much quicker. It also takes up a lot more room.

Baby is now 8 1/2 months old and both are still favourite toys. If space isn't an issue I'd consider getting both - you can get some great buys 2nd hand on ebay and pick up. Our jumperoo was hardly used and a great buy.
