School blouses for busty girls

I'm curious about this

30 years ago, when I was at school, I developed a large bust and my DM had to resort to plain ladies' white blouses (some did have white stitching of flowers - which was hidden under jumpers) as school blouses then were a slim fit. She bought them in charity shops

I believe that this has not changed. Why do school uniform manufacturers forget that the last 3-4 years of girls' compulsory education that they develop on the top half and not really accommodating the busty girls?

Where do you buy your school blouses for your busty DDs from? My friend's DD will be starting high school in Sept 2026 and already got some breasts forming. At least she can wear polo shirts at primary school.

Have you tried New Look?

Not an issue in my experience. DD (16) wears shirts/blouses from M&S in size 13-14 and the bust measurement of that size is the same as women's size 10 (according to M&S website). They go up to age 16.

Many shops do a plus fit, normal fit and skinny fit for tops and bottom now. They often have a long and short fit for kids of different heights too.

Tesco do a generous fit range with extra bust space that go up to age 17. I, as an adult, have a few for work!
