Good choice would be 'my first readibed' which has sides. Think they are about £30. They roll up small. Try GLTC (you can get 10% off from Mumsnet homepage)

We got a junior readybed for DS when he was about 2 1/2. From Argos, I think. Cheaper than a toddler one, and I didn't want to be tied to a toddler brand for something that could easily outlast that stage. No side bumpers, but that hasn't been a problem. DS has rolled off the side once, but it didn't wake him, and he was still cosy.

Oh, and it rolls up to the size of a large sleeping bag.

ive had a look, they look really nice!the bigger size isnt actually that far off the ground is it?he sleeps in a bed at home low to the ground and is ok.my mum is now denying she said i couldnt take the travel cot so not sure what to do!we do camp often and it wont be too long before he out grows travel cot.

DS hadn't outgrown his travel cot - it just takes up so much room in the car!

The bed inflates really quickly with a footpump, and deflates easily too. Oh, and the covers wash well and dry fairly quickly.
