Hi,
I was thinking of buying some things from Temu and was wondering if you have to pay import duties if the goods are coming into the UK?

Also, what do you think of Temu?

Thank you,

Sam.

Temu?

Chinese Communist Party is watching you and taking notes of all your personal info.

Remember Tiananmen Square.

I think it's trash

Any duties that may be applicable are within the price so there are bo "hidden" extras if that is what you mean.people slate it in the same way they do shien and back in the day slated primark, asos, boohoo etc.

Personally I have used it a lot, quality can be hit and miss so read reviews. Read dimensions carefully etc. I have never had any major issues, refund process is dead easy etc.

To answer your question, no you don’t. The price you see is the price you pay. Taxes are included.

There is plenty of good stuff on there. You just need to be selective.

I am sure they have it already, much good it will do them. If watching me is worth the effort they must lead very boring lives.

Besides which, I think Google and Amazon are more of a risk to my personal info than the Chinese.

They use slave labour.
It you are comfortable with that then crack on.

Jumpthewaves · 29/07/2025 21:43

Very poor quality items, often using unsafe materials and chemicals and would perhaps fail product safety standards.

Mossstitch · 29/07/2025 21:53

I've used it and the price stated is what you pay, the quality is poor but exactly the same as you'd get off amazon or any other retailer for goods made in China. Some things I've come unstuck with by not checking the size properly and when they arrive they are tiny🤣 Although ordered mens socks which clearly stated the mens uk size 6-11 and when they came they would have fitted a 6 Yr old, that wasnt my fault🤷 I haven't tried to return anything as didn't feel worth the hassle for a couple of pounds.
