Alps trip - suitable clothing for 11 year old?

My dd is going to the Alps with her School in about 4 weeks time. It is an adventure type trip where they will try rafting, climbing etc amongst others. No - one seems to be able to advise on the weather and the sites I hvae accessed don't help as the only one for that resort concentrates on snow fall etc ( evne though this is summer and the site talks about no snow in summer).

I need to get dd a kagul, few pairs trousers ( including waterproofs), sungalssess etc ( proper ones althogh not prescription) etc.

Is there any one stop shop anyone can recommend? On-line preferably!

Thanks

millets or similar

she needs layers

waterproofs, 2 fleeces, things that dry fast (climbing trousers v good), lots of socks, decent comfortable walking shoes / boots and some rugged sandals

and a sunhat and suncream

Thanks MrsBadger - that's a good starting point. Are Millets online? If so is climbing trousers the actual word for what they are or are they just called rugged trousers or waterproof trousers?

And rugged sandals? Please excuse the ignorance but I only know to get normal sandals from teh usual places - clarkes etc. Where would I get more rugged type sandals and walking shoes?

Also try a company called Cotswold Outdoor, they're online!

Thanks Puppymonkey - are they ok for very skinny 11 year old? I ask as some 11yr olds would be size 6 or 8 but my dd def isnt'!!

by 'climbing trousers' I meant ones that aren't waterproofs but are made of a blend that dries quickly
this kind of thing
