M&P Made with Love playmat - is it washable?

I don't know if anyone else has got one of these but, if not, it's padded and has cellophane inside to make it crinkly and one of those mirrors. Problem is, the combination of dd being a very dribbly baby and having wooden floors has made it filthy and I don't put her on it any more.

M&P 'don't know' if it's washable and I don't know whether to bung it in the machine and risk it. I am not the world's greatest housekeeper so am not sure what damage I could do.

You think they'd say whether it was or not considering what it's going to be used for

Grateful for any advice!

i'd bung it in at 30 degrees or on a hand wash cycle

[grin I thought it read M&P (Ma and Pa) made love on playmat- is it washable?
I was thinking 'Oh good grief couldn't they find anything else'

LMAO pootles! Your mind...

I've taken all the bits off and am sorely tempted to take tass's advice...

Oh cobblers! Look what just arrived in my in box...

Dear Mrs Eyeballs,

Thank you for your recent email. The Made with Love playmat is suitable for sponge wash only with a mild detergent.

Best Regards

Yep, you guessed it, it's swirling round as I type! Sponge wash my bum. You'd need a jet spray to clean a baby's playmat properly. We shall see...

I have found washability (or lack of it) to be a major fault of M&P stuff.

Their mats etc are sponge/hand wash only and their clothes usually aren't tumble dryable. Everything should be machine washable IMO and I wrote to them saying this 2 years ago. They didn't listen

EyeballsintheSky · 26/05/2008 11:48

Well crokky, we're only parents, what do we know? We've obviously got babies who are never sick, houses that are immaculate and a rain proof rotary dryer

Oh well, ner to M&P cos it's in the wash anyway and I have learnt my lesson to think twice before buying their things.
