2 week delivery for Online Next sale items

Come on Next, surely a huge company can do better than that even in sales season. Ordered on 4th July, it's expected to eb delivered on 18th July and its £4.95 whatever the amount you spend. Am I expecting too much to think that it doesn't take 2 weeks and it's a but cheeky to still charge a flat delivery rate for the pleasure of this service?

They always say that at the start of the sale because it’s bedlam. I picked something up today that I ordered on Sunday evening.

I ordered quite a lot in the sale on Wednesday and it said by 16th for delivery. However all but 2 items turned up on Saturday afternoon

Some of mine arrived yesterday, I think it's a latest date which they say it will arrive

I have a delivery pass but I ordered this sale lot to store because I'm going away tomorrow so hopefully the rest of my order will be in store when I return

A few years ago the VIP sale delivered quickly. I don’t know what changed but I hate the fact it can take weeks. One of mine says August 16th! I ordered lots of dresses for a wedding and have now cancelled them because they won’t arrive on time. Nothing VIP about waiting for ages.

Good to hear you've had quicker than expected deliveries.I have to admit it does say on or before 18th when I rechecked just now. Did you just get a delivery or an update email / text before hand?

The sale always takes longer, You should get an email.

I bought a chest of drawers in the Next VIP preview last week. They said they would let me know my delivery slot before 18th July. Delivery slot came through today … 31st July! So nearly a month from purchase date.

In the meantime I bought other furniture from John Lewis at the weekend, and they have already delivered it.

I have had an email telling me they are delivering it all today, a week from ordering

The bulk of mine came on Saturday.
The few bits still outstanding said they would be 2/3 weeks when I placed the order, which is fine.
I do have a delivery pass, if that makes any difference? They might prioritise those orders.

I don’t have a pass but mine said two weeks but came today, just 1 item outstanding
