Which Isofix carseats fit a Subaru Legacy?

Can't test seats in the car as we haven't got it yet.

Wanted Britax Duoplus, but their website suggests it doesn't fit.

Seat for a 2 year old, btw.

Does it speifically say they don't fit or just not list that combination . It may simply be they have n't tested that seat in that model of car. What do Subaru recommend (often they rebadge a Britax or other brand seat)?

don't know if it helps; recaro isofix fits the subaru legacy from june 2002.

Hadn't thought of asking Subaru (doh ).

Was a bit worried that the Recaro Young Expert didn't get that great a rating in last year's Which? report, and is a bit heavy (although it isn't a 'don't buy' which ds1's current seat is).

Was in Halfords today and they said all Isofix seats fit all cars? Is that really right (I know nothing about Isofix at all)? Was only a teenage memeber of staff - not sure how reliable she was on such things.

afaik that isn't true , at least not in all isofix positions in all cars. Apparently some forward facing ones with a foot (Maxi Cosi do one) cannot be used where there is underfloor storage (like on a small mpv)

Knew this would be you! You're welcome to try dd's Britax DuoPlus in the car when it arrives. I presume that ds's current non-isofix seat will fit in the meantime?

Thanks CSWS. Obviously could try it at Halfords too, I guess. I was hoping to identify which seat I need then get it the moment we get the new car (Halfords being on the way home from the dealership).

Yes, ds1's old seat would do in the short term if that isn't an option.
