Massive picnic blanket

I’m in the lookout for a big picnic blanket. Big enough for a family of 4. Needs to be comfy and machine washable. Budget £50 absolute max although £30 would be more like it! Does such a thing exist. The ones I’ve seen online are usually not machine washable.

It was last year when we bought a huge one from Costco, we’ve just got back from the Isle of Wight festival and there were six of us sitting/lying on it with room to spare. They might have them again this year if you have a Costco card, or know someone with one.

Decathlon do lovely big ones in nice patterns, but the Costco one sounds bigger tbh

We got our 2m x 3m one from amazon for less than £30 - and it goes in the washing machine. To be honest, I don't remember if it specifically said it was machine washable but everything (even dry clean only) takes its chances in our house!

I don’t live anywhere near a Costco sadly. Will check out Amazon and decathlon thanks for the tip

I got a pacmat it’s fabulous, I got it in the sale last year a concert, it has a huge map on it. It’s really great, I love it and it folds up tiny.

They have really cool ones with games on them. They are good quality.

Here is the check board one, it is in you budget but I would not say they are comfy but they are tough.

I actually got a lively big blanket on Amazon also, it’s really soft and you can wash it the washing machine but it’s not waterproof.

I bought one of these a little over a month ago and absolutely LOVE it.
A Saltwater Picnic Co blanket, so good. The best I’ve ever owned.
Padded so it’s comfy, BIG 2m x 2m, it’s also water, stain and sand resistant - had a red wine spill and it literally just wipes off with no marks or effort.
and.. MACHINE WASHABLE. Life saver when the kids get messy.

How about a tent carpet? The one we got with our tent is exactly like a foil backed picnic blanket but absolutely massive. You might find one cheap if the tent it’s made for is end of line / discontinued. Camping supply shop online or similar.

They are FABULOUS, now I want one of those too! I am torn between two patterns.

Now all I need is a picnic to go to 😂
