Best/most flattering linen shirts/wide trousers?

Help! I live in jeans and ratty t-shirts and now I have to go to a lunch party and look vaguely respectable. I'm a size 18. Was thinking about a new crisp white linen shirt and some wide-legged trousers. Can anybody suggest any flattering ideas/brands?

I've just used Uniqlo for the first time recently and bought a black linen skirt. It is the most flattering skirt I own, I've recieved so many compliments. It barely creases too. I would definitely recommend their linen.

I've got a few pairs, my favourites are a pair of black crinkle ones from Tesco. They were about 11 quid in the 25% off sale yesterday!
