Ideal home exhibition purchase

I bought dining chairs in march at the ideal home show. Meant to be here by end of may. Still not here. Communication awful, keep getting told things and then nothing happens. I'm beginning to think I've been conned. Is there any point in reporting the business to the exhibition organisers so they can't exhibit again? Surely businesses should be vetted to ensure they are genuine before exhibiting? Lost almost £1000. So upset.

Did you pay by credit card , if so get in touch with them for a refund of goods not received , via section 75 .
If paid by debit card , you normally have 120 days to request a chargeback for goods not received via your bank .

Thanks @Theraffarian we have done that but it's a long process. I want to know if there is point in reporting them to ideal home so they don't get to exhibit again.

If you've exhausted all avenues trying to get a delivery date then go for a refund. Are they being manufactured in your home country?

They aren't being manufactured here. But then the communication said he was going to get the material delivered from china and get the seats upholstered here...and then the other day he was suddenly talking about Poland.

I think you can complain about your experience, so in your shoes, I think I’d do that OP
