Choosing one .... i'd go for spin speed. Higher the better. then clothes are nearly dry when they are taken out.

Check the length of the wash cycle - ours takes 2.5 hours for a standard 40 degree wash and it drives me nuts! Buy something German if you can afford it. Oh yes and try and make sure it has an A energy rating. Will save you money.

High spin speed, nothing else matters

(I have a 1600 rpm .... phhwwooooarrr!!! )

1. spin speed - the faster the better
2. weight/volume of clothes it will hold - the bigger the better

PV - very of your 1600rpm, mine's a mere 1300rpm

Spin speed, higher the better.

Wash length - mine has a 44 minutes & a 19
minute 'freshen up' programme. Very useful.

Energy rating - go for a minimum of a B, but higher if you can.

Half load/minimal water programme.
