I can help with the Mackarens

XLR is a bigger, wider, (and heavier) version of the xt. It will take a carseat. I woudl suggest the only reason to buy this would be for a newborn if you wnated to use it occassionally as a travel system. For this reason I would rule it out.

XT. I love my xt. It is light, folds well, has suspension, has lots of parent pockets, lays right back, has a nifty hood thing to protect from teh sun....

Triumph. I can't remember if this is hte next model down from xt. If it is I think it still lays flat (but check this), may have 1 parent pocket. I don't think it has the pull down sun hood or suspension but is about half the price of hte xt. Good alternative to the XT if you don't want to spend £150.

Sorry I can't comment on others.

The triumph is two models down from the xt and doesn't lie flat-it's for 6 months + (they say 3 months + on it but used to say 6 months +, so I'd go with 6 months), and is about £80. The quest is in between the triumph and the XT-suitable for three months and over and does lie flat and is between £100-£110 depending on the fabric. Heavier than the triumph but has pockets on the back which the triumph doesn't, and an extendable leg rest which is useful for the baby's little legs. Had one of all of them (and a volo) and can't fault them, but the triumph is defo for the older toddler, whereas the quest and xt are more baby orientated. I would also say that the XT has a tiny bit more width to it, but the suspension is much better.
