Top - Awkward Skirt

Really I should not have kept this skirt! I love it but am struggling to style it. Can anyone help me find ‘the right’ top to go with it. I was thinking fitted-ish and white but am open to any suggestions. I’ve bought lots and and none look right!

I agree it needs to be fitted to balance out the fullness of the skirt. It's really pretty and looks like it would be lovely and cool on a summer's day. Maybe keep it simple with a good quality fitted t-shirt that sits on the waist or a vest top, or fitted blouse?
