Hello lovely Mumsnetters!! I am posting here in hopes of getting some opinions on whether or not this Michael Kors backpack might be a counterfeit? My DH bought it online (on eBay, I think) as a new replacement for the same exact worn-out one I had purchased years ago, but upon receiving it we are both unsure of its authenticity. (I would have avoided all this by buying directly from MK, but it is no longer available on their website, and there is no retailer near me)
The seller has lots of reviews and a high seller rating, so seemed legitimate in that sense. DH asked why they were selling the backpack and how we could be sure of it's authenticity. Seller said it's illegal to sell fakes, they have great reviews, et cetera. The material seems off to me, and there seem to be some manufacturing defects that may be "red flags," but I'm not sure if I'm just being overly suspicious and nitpicky 🫣 thank you to anyone who is willing to share any advice/experience for this situation!
