What colour shoes?

My daughter’s getting married soon, I’ve got my dress, but I’m really struggling with what colour shoes and hatinator to go with it. I’ve tried light blue but I think it needs something bolder with it being all one colour, help needed please.

I think it depends on your colouring. If you are a blonde blue eyed English rose then maybe a contrasting pastel - pale pink perhaps? If you are a pale skinned dark haired celtic beauty then you probably need a strong contrast so perhaps navy? Go for the hat first and then look for shoes to match as the hat will set off your face.

A good way to play around is to get a photo of your face superimposed onto the photo of the dress then try out some pictures of different hats to see which colours work. You could also see if there is a hat hire shop near you and book an appointment. If there isn't then I've found a company on Etsy called HATBX very helpful with good returnsI especially like the fact you can change the decor of the hats as they come with magnetic clips. I'm afraid you'll have to google them as mumsnet won't let me post a link to their page. I also think pink could go well, either pale or a more magenta colour.

Orange would look amazing with that colour of dress. It is the colour palette that is shining in my garden right now and you can't argue with nature!

I would have a look at a metallic colour maybe a rose gold or silver/grey

Silver

Cream would work, although you mention bold and cream isn't of course .

Shocking pink if you are dark, pale pink if you're fair

I would probably go muted but this might give some inspiration.

What about purple?

Agree with this, my first thought was orange.
