Tesco Club Card Vouchers

Hello - what does everyone spend these on nowadays? Can only find very old threads on here.
What recent experiences has anyone used the Clubcard vouchers for?

Last year we used some on the Eurostar for our holiday which brought the price down.

Also does anyone have a Tesco credit card and is it worth it for the extra points? I know my sister in law used to use one and found it brilliant but we are talking 20 years ago.

thanks in advance

This year i have used them for entrance to Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole (separate transactions on separate days, but all in the same holiday) and to buy a railcard in order to get discounted travel for a year.

Cineworld mostly.

I don't use my Tesco credit card anymore, there are better deals / cashback available.

Everygrain · 27/05/2025 21:30

I don't get that many now so just use them on Disney+ without ads

Years ago when the kids were younger we used ours for Legoland. It was x4 value then so saved a lot of money (I think it’s x3 now?)
Last week used some for a nice bottle of pinot Grigio😀

Rail card ( I have a senior , and DH and I the Two Together )
I use my Amex now , as the rewards are better , I get the points from the club card anyway

I save mine up then use them to pay for my RAC membership. If I have any left, I buy some alcohol for Christmas.

There’s nowhere near the deals they used to have. It went from 4x to 3x and now it’s 2x the amount. We used to get so many points because all our fuel was from Tesco, but two electric cars mean our points have dwindled!
We still use them for restaurants such as chef and brewer and zizzi because they feel like free meals out.

BingoBling · 27/05/2025 21:43

Nearly always use it for cineworld.

ExperiencedTeacher · 27/05/2025 21:57

This week I’ll be using some for eating out at Zizzis when we have a day out in London. I know it’s not exactly a MN favourite but It’s handy for where we’re going and makes a day out in London relatively inexpensive. I did similar at Easter with Pizza Express on another day trip.

I buy a family member a magazine subscription each year for their birthday.

i also use for local days out sometimes but they are def not as good value at they used to be.

I have had some boosts recently with £30 in points from a new phone contract, extra points for car insurance and with the Clubcard boost challenges.

We always use it for Le Shuttle but it’s rubbish that it’s only x2 these days.

Simplelobsterhat · 27/05/2025 22:17

Definitely not as good as it used to be, but we still use them. We also have the credit card, although it isn't as good as it used to be either, so keep thinking I should check if a different one, eg with cashback would be better.

We use them for meals out, especially if we are going on a family day out / night away / show that we are already spending a lot on, so it helps to have an almost 'free' meal. We were at chef and brewer this weekend with them. We also use them for theme parks / zoos etc. I've got a railcard on the past, also isle of wight ferry, Disney +, cinema and RAC cover.

evtheria · 27/05/2025 22:20

We also use it for Disney+ no ads. Prev used for cheap meals out (when the trade up value was better), and on National Express tickets from the NW to Heathrow.

LostMySocks · 27/05/2025 22:27

We used to collect avios as we had credit cards that gave us partner tickets and also lots of business flights.
Now we use clubcard points for Le shuttle as we live in Kent so driving to France and Northern Europe is a favourite holiday for us. Means that we just pay for petrol and (cheap) hotels

24Dogcuddler · 27/05/2025 22:39

Recently used mine on the Denby site. Got some great bargains for presents and some new baking tins and trays. Enjoyed doing an online “ trolley dash” and just paying postage.

Harmonypus · 28/05/2025 18:06

My son, his partner and I all save into the one Clubcard.
When we get together we go out for a meal and use some of our points to pay for it.

Glittertwins · 28/05/2025 18:29

I used to use it for delivery saver but there is no real benefit now. I now use it for Disney + (although that’s also now been changed so only 2 devices can stream concurrently, instead of 4) and the cinema. I’ll also use the odd voucher off a big shop.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 28/05/2025 18:35

I’ve used for Zizzi and Disney plus recently. Both v straight forward. I mentioned at arrival at Zizzi I wanted to use Teso vouchers and was as easy as paying normally. Drinks are not included is the only thing to remember.
