Does anyone cycle? I need a bike.

I don't plan on cycling much, just now and then and a bit at centerparcs etc. being at centerparcs last month was the first time I'd been on a bike in about 15 years lol.

Anyway, we now have a trailer for the kids and DH has his bike. So all I need to join in is a bike of my own. But I haven't a clue what I'm looking for and where to start.

Anyone point out a good deal to me?

Hello Suzi, My DH gave me a bike for my birthday a couple of years ago a bit like this one but had some mudguards fitted (not into muddy stripes up my back).

I personally prefer a bike which gives a 'sit up and beg' posture which is v comfortable rather than the super sporty 'arse in the air, low handle bars' mountain bike type my DH prefers.

I love This one. I doesn't look ultra fashionable but it looks so comfy to ride.

You also need to buy the correct size frame for your height, something to do with inside leg measurement I think. Your bike dealer can advise or you could try a few for size in the shop.

lol, the arse in air thing at centerparcs did nothing for me. I had a builders bum the whole time - not a pretty site! They're nice looking bikes. I wonder if I'm best just to try a few in Halfords and then refine my search a bit more?
