What size The North Face?

Hey all!
Im going to be climbing Snowdon on 14th June and have been looking at The North Face waterproof jackets (shell type) on Vinted as I likely won’t wear it afterwards so didn’t want to spend a fortune!
Im a size 14 top and bottom and not sure what size to purchase. Obviously as I’m purchasing from Vinted, I can’t try them on for size.
Ive been thinking M however wanted opinions on whether I can get a fleece on underneath too? Or whether to go for a L however I didn’t want it looking too oversized, and similarly not too tight!

I have a M and I’m a 10-12

Large. You can usually cinch in the waist with elastic hidden in the pockets and reduce sleeve length with velcro on the wrists. You might want to run it through machine with reproofing detergent if preloved.
