Another portable dvd question: 2 screen dvd or 2 independent dvds?

I'm looking to buy a portable dvd player (well probably 2) as we have an awful lot of driving coming up soon. I have 2 boys, 5 and 7. I'm wondering whether a twin screen dvd (where they watch the same dvd) or 2 individual dvds would be better?

Any thoughts? Even when they have access to 2 Nintendo DSs they seem to want the same game.

Any experiences to share oh wise ones?

We went for 2 individual ones, but then we have dd (6) and ds(3) so larger age gap and different sexes, so they watch different things.

We have one where they watch the same film - but our boys are 3 and 4 so pretty much like the same films and can USUALLY agree on what they want to watch.

Also, they don't like wearing the headphones so there would be a terrible soundclash if they were watching different films.

Thanks - I think.

I have to say that a lot of our dvd collection is probably geared towards the younger one (with so much tv available I haen't really bought much with the older one, and I've ditched our dvd sub).

Hard to predict which will suit us best. Ho hum.

We got one from argos that has 2 screens & dc can either link them & watch the same dvd or watch different ones.

LadyMuck · 20/05/2008 12:58

You don't by any chance know which model it is? I can't tell from the Argos descriptions?

Thanks. So they can either watch 2 separate dvd or the same one (on 2 screens)? Sounds as if that does the deal for us!

Yes, I think they charge them up pre journey, i think you can only play one player at a time from the utility plug. will ask dc when they get home from school if you like.
