FB marketplace, Ebay or carboot?

My grandmother died a couple of years ago and i found myself in possession of her entire jewellery collection less what my Aunt and Cousin had handpicked for themselves. I have not looked through it (she was 94 when she died and never threw anything away so there is a lot) i am assuming it is predominantly costume jewellery as she wasn't well off, but liked to look nice. My friend likes to sort and has offered to help me go through it all. I may want a few bits but our tastes were different so highly doubt I would want to keep it all. So I am asking how should I go about selling off the rest? i have sold very little on Facebook, used Ebay a lot in the past but not recently and i enjoy car boots but my husband (who has to take me cos i don't drive) doesn't.

I reckon it depends on the sort of person you are. If you’re happy to give your address out and have people come to the door – and potentially haggle with you over the price – then FB marketplace might work. My friend recently soldsome furniture on Facebook marketplace: had agreed a price of £200, the buyer turned up and refused to pay more than 90. Nothing to do with the quality of the furniture, just trying it on. Same with car boot sales… If you can actually handle people and haggling, that might be okay. If your husband doesn’t like them, make sure you take somebody to help you. I’ve had horror stories about people hanging around as someone is setting up their stuff and basically just pinching things. You’re gonna need someone there with you who is prepared to tell people to F off. I sell quite a lot on eBay and I like it. They’ve made a lot of changes and I find it really easy to sell these days.
