Ok want a new pushchair for DS2 who is 10 weeks, I'm currently using a M&P Pulse which I've had for 3 years so fancy a change.

Needs to be suitable for newborn
Don't want one with a bar type handle
Fairly light weight
i don't use public transport but it needs to be not too bulky as I have a zafira and when all seven seats are up boot space is v small.

So your ideas truelly appreciated!!!!!!

dustyteddy · 17/05/2008 16:36

mclaren techno xt . It fits all your requirements

Disenchanted · 17/05/2008 16:36

oops, they were on sale for £100 there a while ago,

MrsTittleMouse · 17/05/2008 16:40

The Maclaren Techno XT is brilliant - but I think it's over your budget. I love mine.

ConnorTraceptive · 17/05/2008 16:42

Didn't realise the prsto was suitabble from birth. Does it easily tip though like the zapp?

They had Maclaren Technos in Costco the other day for £120 (don't know if there is VAT on top...)

Nagapie · 17/05/2008 16:45

Does it have to be new? Would you be willing to risk ebay?

CarGirl · 17/05/2008 16:45

hmmmm, go second hand and get a m&p pramette if you want rear facing or a techno xt if you're not bothered.

ConnorTraceptive · 17/05/2008 16:47

I've looked on ebay but sometimes they don't seem that much cheaper than to buy new. I'm not so good a sniffin out bargains on there.

DS is a really big lad so something "roomy" would be good

Hmmmm I have a techno to sell but it is the slightly older model without the extra zip in the hood or the smooth wheels, a lot less than £100!

BTW if you are short you may find the handles too high, I do it hurts my elbows after a bit!

ConnorTraceptive · 17/05/2008 16:51

problem with the techno is that dh will look at it and say how is it any diffrent to the one you've got?

CarGirl · 17/05/2008 16:52

adjustable handlebars, suspension in the rear wheels, larger hood errrrrrr

Shame I sold my pramette really cheap!

ConnorTraceptive · 17/05/2008 16:55

Bugger can you ask for it back!

OP posts:
ConnorTraceptive · 17/05/2008 16:58

This is thing - I don't REALLY need a new buggy because I've kept the Pulse in really good shape, but I used for DS1 from birth so and now I've been using it for DS2 and I've never reaaly done the Lovely pram stage, which is pointless now as DS is 10 weeks and weighs 18 pounds and already looks like a toddler! But I feel the urge to have something new to make up for never having a pram
(my choice: I was little miss practical)

get a 3 wheeler? Mothercare urban detour are lovely to push and inexpensive 2nd hand on ebay.

Have an accident with the M&P?
