Is it normal for trampoline enclosures to only last a few hours before getting holes in ??

Had the trampoline on Wednesday. The dc went on it for about 2 hours and I noticed a little hole starting pon the one side.

They went on it again this morning, and i've just been outside and there are now two quite large holes in the net.

I am not happy.

That is bad nutty
Where did you buy it from?

BettySpaghetti · 17/05/2008 13:01

We've only had ours about 2 months but haven't had any problems with it (touch wood)

Have the children been making it worse? I only ask that as I have a DD who, if she has a tiny hole in her school tights, has a gaping great hole by the end of the day as she deliberately makes it larger.

What make is it?

CrackerOfNuts · 17/05/2008 13:03

It is from Argos, the make is Plum I think.

Tbh the way is was packed probably hasn't helped because all the hooks to hook it to the underside of the trampoline were all caught up in the netting when we unpacked it, so that is probably what started the hole.

I've not got the boxes for it either as we put them out for recycling on Friday morning.

We've had ours for years and no holes. Holes defeat the whole point of having them in the first place!

If you have the receipt I would contact Argos. It sounds like it was unpacked for quality control and repacked wrongly. If they won't accept it then ask them for an address for the manufacturer.

CrackerOfNuts · 17/05/2008 13:08

Ok, will ring Argos.

I wonder what the chances are of them just rpelacing the net ? I don't really want to have to take the whole enclosure apart again.

Right, have rung them and they said they will send a whole new enclosure out. When it arrives open it and take the new net out, and put the old damaged one in that box and the driver will take it back.

Don't you just love big organisations

CrackerOfNuts · 17/05/2008 13:23

Was quite shocked that she just said 'oh ok, sorry about that we will send another'.

Very pleased though, although kids think I am sending the whole thing back, because they are too rough with their toys evil mother.

chocolatespiders · 17/05/2008 13:26

sorry should have read whole thread

BettySpaghetti · 17/05/2008 13:49

Glad you got it sorted.

Ours is a Plum one (from alltrampolines.com) -we've been really pleased with it, seems good quality to some of the others I've seen. Hope the next surround is better
