Just wondering how long it usually takes after registering interest in a Rolex to being offered one? Thank you

We waited 1.5 years
It was worth it

I was surprised as I register interest in two watches and one has become available after 3 weeks! I was just confused as I thought that it was usually months and months!

Would preowned be an option, although I know sometimes they can end up costing more depending on demand.

This caught my eye and now ive been down a rabbit hole and am obsessed with a vintage preowned Longines.

What is the registering interest thing about? 10 years ago I walked into a Rolex shop in Cannes and bought one immediately! Is it certain styles? I sold it a couple of years later and haven’t worn a watch since but am now thinking about an Omega.

Depends entirely on the piece you're interested in.

If it's a stainless steel model you'll be waiting ages.
For any of the professional models (watches with nicknames) you'll be on the list for years.

If you had your name down for something with gold or diamonds that's not highly sought after, you shouldn't be waiting too long.

It could be weeks or years, sadly some salespeople in Rolex stores are pricks and judge your appearance as you walk in esp in uk. I wanted a Rolex and went Ito a couple of stores who said we won't put you on the list for the one you want unless you have bought from us previously or but something now.

I was in Guernsey a week later and they where happy to put me on a list and called 2 weeks later to say they had the watch I wanted (submariner), deposit paid, day trip on the ferry and saved £1,000 on the uk price.

Mine took around ten days. Plain gold, no fancy stuff.

I looked into this ages ago and ended up going for a Swiss clone rolex instead. I couldn’t justify the real one price tag, but I still wanted the classic look. It’s been surprisingly solid and looks so close that no one’s ever questioned it. Obviously, it’s not the same as owning the real deal, but for me it scratched the itch without draining my savings.
