I have recently started using Bio Oil on my upper arms to help smooth that goose flesh look , Yuk !

I actually believe that it is making a difference and leaves my arms lovely soft and smoother.

Is it just me ? What do you think of Bio oil and what have you used it for .

Love it, use it on my old stretch marks (on th' belly) and they definitely look a lot better. Skin feels a lot better too. Never used it on my face although it says you can.

I was surprised to see that you could use it on your face ., might give it a go after a good exfoliting session !

Oooh, I'm 26 weeks pregnant so I bought some when I saw it for £4 in Quality Save! Keep forgetting to use it though, but if people say it works I might get cracking with it...

I have used vitamin E oil on my face and that is fantastic stuff, so it would probably be similiar, 4 quid bb, that is bargainous indeed.

bohemianbint · 15/05/2008 19:56

Quality Save rocks.

loler · 15/05/2008 20:03

Where is quality save? I want one here!

I use it on my face, since using it have had quite a few people commenting that I'm looking good (including one who asked how I'd managed to get rid of wrinkles).

Always use it in the bath and think it is fab stuff.

Has a million uses (found it great for nappy rash on dss too)

CaptainUnderpants · 15/05/2008 21:50

Ok I have cleansed and toned tonight and put some on my face - wrinkle free in the morning eh ?

its excellent also helped reduce the look of ds chicken pox scars!

I've been using Bio oil on stretch marks for ages and don't think it has been any different to a good moisturiser.

LargeGlassofRed · 15/05/2008 21:57

dp had a bad injury to his lip recently and used bio oil its healed really well and the scar is hardly visable.

Also I used it on burn scaring on my leg and it worked wonders.

AitchTwoCiao · 15/05/2008 21:57

i use it at night, it's much cheaper than my usual night cream and much better.

AitchTwoCiao · 15/05/2008 21:58

on my face and neck, i mean.

cardy · 15/05/2008 21:59

can you use it on scars from a while ago? DD has a scar on her forehead from two years ago. Will it help that, do you think?

CaptainUnderpants · 15/05/2008 22:00

I very rarely see adverts for it promoting what is does etc etc unlike some other skin care. Have looked at it for years on the shelf but never bought it until recently.

don't know, cardy, it might. but it's not so terribly expensive that it's not worth a try. lasts for ages, as well. i think it's got money off in superdrug at the moment.

cardy · 15/05/2008 22:18

was highly recommended by a friend recently - so might try it....all positive on here.

lackaDAISYcal · 15/05/2008 22:24

I got horrible stretchmarks with DS which were still noticeable when I got pregnant with DD. I started using bio-oil every morning after my shower and I didn't get any more stretchmarks, and the old ones look much better.

Also used it on my c-section scar and think it improved the look of it quite quickly.

Never tried it anywhere else, but might give it a go on my face.
